365 Love letters: Week 1

Guess Who's a Month Old Today??

Time is absolutely flying. I feel like just yesterday I was pushing ( while pulling on a knotted bed sheet) to get this little Angel out into this world. My little munchking went from 6lbs 6oc to 8lbs 2oz in TWO weeks!!! He's getting fatter and fatter and I'm loving it. It feels so good to know that someone depends on you that much. I love being a mother. I just can't believe how much love you can actually have for someone. I swear NO ONE knows what love really feels like until they have a child. This is truly unconditional love. I love everything about him. The way he giggles when I'm falling asleep trying to calm him down when he's crying and when I say " Hi Bubba" and he looks at me and smiles. I just can't wait to experience all there is to experiencing while being a mommy.

My baby shower was planned for November 13th due to the fact that it was almost impossible to find a damn club for a reasonable price before this date. I spent so much money planning this baby shower (yes, because I like certain things to go my way and I wanted the baby shower to be a certain way). I had my maternity pictures done November 11th, which by the way I loved. On Saturday November 12th I spent FIVE hours walking up and down the mall with Mr.Heyer trying to find another outfit for our baby shower because the one I had bought two weeks before was already waaaay too tight. Later on that night while I was feeding my cats I felt a leak!!! I thought I peed on myself a little I sat down on the throne (toilet). I yelled out to my husband to let him know but I wasn't sure what it was. So while I sat down leaking I call my mother to explain to her and she says "omg you're water broke, yep that's it.... se le rompio la fuente" and then I hear my grandma who came from Puerto Rico say "eah ca**jo!!! rompio fuente!!" lol. I decided to call the hospital before going over and spending $100 on a fake alarm. But YES I was going into labor. My husband decided it was the perfect time to text and call all his friends to let them know my water broke and then jumps in the shower. I was then stuck answering his phone because people wouldn't stop calling or texting him. -__- We finally got going and when we got there my whole family was there before us lol.

I started having mild contractions that I was able to ignore and even walked around the hospital and sat in the waiting room with my family and friends. Then my contractions started to get more painful and I decided to take medicine to sleep because they said it would be a long night since I had only dilated 1cm in about 3 hours. My contractions kept getting stronger and stronger. I was very against taking any pain medication but I was so tensed that they had to induce me since at 5 am since 10:30pm the night before I was still only 1cm dilated. I couldn't hold the pains anymore and around 9 am I took the epidural. Unfortunately only my lower right side was numbed and I felt everything on my left side. They said it was best I took the epidural because since I was so tensed I was not dilating and the epidural would help me relax. I was fully dilated by 12:30pm and at 2:22 pm my bundle of joy finally came. On the day of my baby shower!!!! He weigh 6lbs 10oz and was 19 inches. I was so scared because he wouldn't cry turns out he had his umbilical cord wrapped twice around his neck. Those few minutes were the longest minutes of our lives. When I fist heard him cry I couldn't help myself to cry, my son is gorgeous. He is perfectly healthy and eats a ton!!! I am so happy and proud to be his mommy. I feel like our little family is now in the making and we are extremely happy with our bundle of joy.

Dear Baby Heyer,

I am now 38 weeks along. I cannot wait to meet you. These past few months I've kept thinking about the way you may look. It is hard to say though because I can't come up with an exact picture of you. I think of how wonderful it's going to feel when I hold you for the first time ( and every time after that). I had my last ultrasound on Monday and you weight 7 pounds thus far. You must be camera shy lol you kept covering your face with your chunky looking hands. It was sooo cute. The Doctor says you are VERY active. I have a feeling you're going to drive us crazy. It seems like you're going to have your daddies head, he says though that your head looks like mine. Hopefully I'm right because then you'll have a cute head and so I'm sorry if you have my shape head, I really am. lol.

I still can't believe that you'll be here in two more weeks! I hope you want to meet me as much as I want to meet you.
